This blog is a continuation of my posts at a Blogger blog. All the posts prior to November 4, 2007 have been imported from that blog. The reasons to switch to WordPress are various, all of them weak, any of them sufficient. Let’s see if WP lives up to my expectations.

The main topic of this blog should be Free Software, as the name implies. I also touch politics/opinion subjects, mainly related to the infamous intellectual property. Other topics may be DRM, Creative Commons music and any geeky thing one can think of.

Header image

When the blog displayed a theme that supported custom headers (not the present one), I used the following header:

The logo was made with the wonderful Inkscape. It simply displays the handyfloss word in Bitstream Vera Sans bold font. The lighting effects were obtained following the instructions in this blog. The white screw is a slightly modified version of a clip taken from Wikimedia Commons, namely Screw.svg, by Aethralis. The screwdriver is original art by me.
